NWAPA 2023 Fall Season

The NWAPA is very happy to announce our Fall 2023 schedule.  Thank you to all of this year’s fall sponsors. The 2023 Fall season will be a great season for all of our units.

NEW Fall 2022 Classifications

Dear NWAPA Members, 

Thank-you so much in sharing your thoughts and opinions through the survey and your phone and email communication with several board members. As you may know there was discussion at our August membership meeting regarding classifications for our ensembles for the 2022 Fall Season. The NWAPA board distributed a survey to gain member feedback asking about using a three division versus four division classification model for this fall.

The 2019 Four Classification model will continue for this 2022 Fall Season. Moving forward our Rules & Bylaws Committee will review a Fall 2023 classification model to be provided and voted on by our membership. 

It is imperative that all ensembles update their numbers in their Contest Dynamics page. If you need your link to this please contact Jeff Mitchell at contest_coord@nwapa.net

Congratulations to Sherwood High School Percussion Ensemble

The NWAPA would like to congratulate Brant Stai, Jeff Bush and their incredible staff for putting together such a successful winter season for the Sherwood High School percussion team.

“Sherwood took home the gold for WGI Scholastic Open Class with a score of 97.125! This was the group’s first time at WGI Grand Nationals. Words cannot express how proud of these students I am” said Brant Stai, Director of Bands for Sherwood High School.

“The Sherwood Band, Sherwood Band Boosters and parent volunteers made Herculean efforts with the logistics of making both the show and the trip possible. Without them, none of this would have been possible. The support from both Sherwood High and the entire Sherwood Community has been humbling. Thank you all for supporting these incredible students” Brant said.

Congratulations Glencoe High School Varsity Winter Guard

The NWAPA is very proud Congratulates the Glencoe High School Varsity Winter Guard on their very successful trip to the 2022 WGI Phoenix Regional. In Prelims the placed first in their round with a score of 80.730 and in finals were just edged out of 3rd over all by less than .2 placing forth with a score of 81.73. Congratulations to everyone involved at the Glencoe High School winter guard program.
