May Membership Meeting Proposal Outcomes

Thank you to everyone who participated in this past Sunday’s Membership meeting.  We are pleased to announce three proposals that passed at the meeting and will go into effect in the upcoming season:

1. Shout Outs – If contests choose to sell shout outs, the shout outs will only be read during breaks and prior to the awards ceremonies.  Shout outs will not be read while a unit is entering or exiting the competition area.

2. Classification Order (Fall) – The prelims classification order at all 2016 Fall contests will be A, AA, Open.  The order within class at prelims will be still be done by random draw at the August meeting provided the unit has paid their unit entry fee as of that same day.

3. Winter Vice-Presidents – A change to the bylaws was voted that allows for three Winter Vice Presidents; one for each of our Winter Competitive offerings:  Guard, Percussion and Winds.

These changes to the Member and Sponsor Handbooks, as well as the bylaws, will be posted by June 1st.
