Guard Premier Schedules Updated – At Capacity

The schedules for the 2017 NWAPA Winter Guard Premier at Tigard HS on February 4th are have been updated and the event is now at capacity.  Please navigate to the Premier Event Page to review.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Jeff Mitchell .

Winter Is Coming!

The winter contest schedule is posted and available on the Winter Information Page.  The Winter Member and Show Sponsor handbooks are also posted in that area and provide additional information on unit entry fees, available classifications etc.

In the coming weeks, addenda with specific contest rules for guard, percussion and winds will be posted.  Keep on the lookout for these.

Don’t forget, we have an exciting opportunity that debuted last year – Winds!  Be sure to read the NWAPA Winds Info Letter from Max Logan, our Winds Vice President to learn all about it.

The December General Membership Meeting is on December 11th at 2:00p at West Salem High School. The agenda includes a recap of our fall season as well as an overview of the 2017 winter season.  Be sure to attend so your voice can be heard.

Southridge Schedule Updated

The schedule for the Spectacle of Sound on October 22nd has again changed since it was originally posted.  The start times for prelims and finals remain the same but performance times for some bands have been altered.  Please reference the Spectacle of Sound schedule for updated information.

Century Showcase Schedule Updated

Hello!  The Century Showcase schedule has been slightly altered.  The prelims contest will now be starting at 12:15.  Preliminary awards are still at the same time and Finals will still start at 5:30p.  If you are attending the Century Showcase on October 8th, please take a moment to review the new schedule which can be found on the Events page or under Schedules on your Contest Dynamics Unit Event Page.

Schedules and Event Information

This beginning of the 2016 season is just 10 days away!  Draft schedules for the McKenzie Classic, PCI and Music In Motion are posted on the respective event pages.

Additionally, unit directors attending the McKenzie Classic should have received an email with a private unit event link to our new contest management system.  This link will be updated before, during and after the contest and will be the one stop shop for everything you need during the event: directors packet, schedules, recaps, judges audio etc.  If you did not receive this email or would prefer that this email be sent to a different address, please reach out to Christine Clayton at

Unit directors attending later events, don’t worry, your personalized unit event link for each contest you are attending will be sent soon.  Our goal is to send the links at least 2 weeks prior to the contest so you can begin planning your day.
